Does your social media DO anything for your business?
You’ve most likely taken steps in promoting your business online–perhaps it’s by developing a presence on TikTok or FINALLY taking the plunge and investing in Facebook Ads. But is social media doing anything to grow your business? Or is it just accumulating a handful of soft likes and follows?
Three things you can do right now:
- Make it personal. Your target market is interested in YOU. One of the best ways to connect with your audience is by making a personal connection. This builds trust! Keep your blogs and your posts relevant to “fixing” your followers’ pain points, but make sure to include your own story, and do it in your own voice.
- Create a budget and target your ads. There are plenty of ways to promote your business without spending a dime on marketing, but the problem is that growth is slow. If you target your ads sooner than later, your list will grow faster and you will build an audience that has a solid interest in your services. For as little as a couple of dollars a day, you can essentially get your business page (with links to your website and landing page) directly in front of people who want to hire you NOW.
- Make it pretty. Use something like Canva or Photoshop to design graphics. Studies show that engagement increases exponentially when you use images or pictures to head your articles or link back to your sites. It’s super-easy to grab a few different backgrounds and add your logo, a favorite quote, or even better, original content of your own that will captivate your audience. This is also a great option to share tips and tricks in your specific niche, too!
- BONUS TIP: Be consistent. Whether you’re focusing on one platform or showing up on several, the most important thing to do is to be consistent. Not only does this help your organic reach but it also builds the know-like-trust factor with your audience.
Navigating the ever-changing world of social media can be intimidating, but doing just a few small things as mentioned above will improve the quality of leads that you get, as well as grow deeper, richer relationships with your tribe. Your business has a lot to offer, but if you aren’t putting it in front of the people who WANT and NEED what you do, getting clients and growing your business will continue to be an uphill battle.
